VIDEO: Understanding, classifying EDOF lenses and indications key for patient selection
BARCELONA, Spain — In this Healio Video Perspective from the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons meeting, Jorge L. Alió, MD, PhD, speaks about the physical principles of extended depth of focus lenses.
He clarified the differences between the lenses and their specific indications and classified the different types.
“Make your choice according to the optical design and the defocus curve, look at the independent clinical studies about defocus curves, monocular and binocular, and choose the adequate patient,” he said.
