VIDEO: iPad EMR systems streamline work, improve patient care
FRANKFURT, Germany — In this Healio Video Perspective from the ESCRS winter meeting, Detlef Holland, MD, encourages colleagues to switch to an iPad-based electronic medical record system, as he recently did in his practice.
Not only does this platform save a lot of paper and a lot of work for the staff, but it also improves efficiency of care, allowing doctors to spend more quality time with the patient. It is also fun to use and improves patient satisfaction.
“We have now a tool which is really modern, which helps our staff and which is a lot of fun for me when I work with the patients. And patients recognize the modern level of the practice,” Holland said.
After 1.5 years, his practice is nearly 95% paper-free.
