FRANKFURT, Germany — In this Healio Video Perspective from the ESCRS winter meeting, Pavel Stodulka, MD, PhD, speaks about his initial experience with the new Triva-aXAY trifocal IOL with a large 7-mm optic from HumanOptics.

With only seven diffractive rings, this lens achieves similar or even better results than the traditional trifocal lenses that have up to 26 diffractive rings, according to Stodulka.

“Because the edges of this optic are far away from the optical axis, there is less dysphotopsia, and there is also less dysphotopsia because there are only seven diffractive rings,” he said.
