VIDEO: Surgeon provides overview of SMILE procedure
NEW YORK — In a presentation at OSN New York, Kathryn M. Hatch, MD, discusses small incision lenticule extraction and uses video footage to showcase the surgery.
“SMILE is the only [lenticule extraction] procedure FDA approved in the U.S. at this time,” she said. “This is really the first innovative technology since LASIK in the ’90s, and it really is here to stay.”
