NEW YORK — In this presentation from OSN New York Retina, Philip J. Ferrone, MD, of Vitreoretinal Consultants of NY, tackles the challenges of managing macular holes in pediatric patients.
According to Ferrone, two common causes of macular holes in children are laser pointer injury and blunt trauma. Ferrone shared several case examples and their resolution.
“It is important to get multimodal imaging on all these patients because you want to detect anything that is really subtle,” he said.
