VIDEO: Handheld femtosecond laser performs precise capsulorrhexis in milliseconds
VIENNA — In this Healio Video Perspective from the ESCRS meeting, David Touboul, MD, PhD, presents the Helix Rx handheld femtosecond laser instrument for “frugal” capsulorrhexis.
This is a new technology introduced by Ilasis Laser that allows cataract surgeons to perform femtosecond-assisted capsulorrhexis with a simple and affordable portable device in milliseconds.
“Then the patient can have normal surgery, and you don’t have a break in the workflow of conventional operating rooms,” Touboul said.
