VIENNA — In this Healio Video Perspective from the ESCRS meeting, Liliana Werner, MD, PhD, speaks about the Perfect Lens project.
The project is a procedure that uses femtosecond green light to adjust the power of IOLs in vivo in a noninvasive manner through laser-induced chemical reactions. Following in vitro and preclinical in vivo studies, the initial clinical trials are underway at the John A. Moran Eye Center.
“It is a very interesting technology, very exciting, and may really be a game changer for the future,” Werner said.
