VIDEO: New algorithm allows for effective cross-linking in thin corneas
MILAN — At the ESCRS meeting, Farhad Hafezi, MD, PhD, speaks about a newly developed algorithm for cross-linking in thin corneas.
The sub400 protocol calculates fluency based on corneal thickness, and 1-year data show 90% success in corneas as thin as 200 µm. A second generation of this protocol that is even more effective and involves epi-on CXL has been developed.
