MILAN — In this video at the ESCRS meeting, Pavel Stodulka, MD, PhD, speaks about innovative ways of performing capsulotomy and capsulorrhexis.

Selective laser capsulotomy with the CAPSULaser (Excel-Lens) enables cataract surgeons to perform highly accurate and consistent capsulotomies in a fraction of a second, without patient interface. As far as manual methods are concerned, a modified method of staining the anterior capsule with trypan blue has been proved in a study to lead to improved centration.
