The World Anti-Microbial Resistance Congress has expanded its audience this year with another conference being held at the same time in the same place: the Disease Prevention & Control Summit – America.
Both meetings will take place on Wednesday and Thursday, Sept. 7 and 8, at Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland.
The World Anti-Microbial Resistance (AMR) Congress, which has been held since 2015, is expected to have more than 200 speakers and 1,000 attendees over 2 days. It is billed as “the go-to conference globally for all stakeholders in the AMR space to meet, brainstorm ideas and formulate initiatives that can effectively tackle antimicrobial resistance.”
Keynote speakers include Infectious Diseases Society of America President Daniel P. McQuillen, MD, FIDSA, and HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra.
