In this video, Rosalie Griffin, PhD, discusses the results of a study into point mutations and their correlation with developing blood cancers presented at ESMO Congress 2024.

Griffin, a research associate at Mayo Clinic, highlighted the study, which probed the relationship between individual mutations on a base pair level and other known blood cancer precursors.

“They found that there really wasn't an association between those two events, which was surprising to us, but just kind of hints that there might be a different pathway as to why people are at risk based on these two different types of precursors,” Griffin said.
