In this video interview with Healio, Lindsey A. George, MD, spoke about a session on factor VIII biochemistry presented at ASH Annual Meeting and Exposition.

In the hemophilia gene therapy space, researchers presented on a factor VIII variant with “as yet unclear biochemical mechanism for improved function,” according to George, assistant professor of pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, and director of clinical in vivo gene therapy and attending hematologist at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
