You know, one thing that we know about in oncology and in medicine in general is that when we have newer treatment approaches that require either complex care, care at certain centers that are located in major cities, or that have high copays or financial toxicity, this means that not all patients are likely to access those treatments equally.

So, as we come up with novel approaches, many of these are really quite expensive, and we really need to make sure that we do everything possible to make sure that patients have access to these novel therapies, regardless of where they live and what their socioeconomic conditions might be. And so we really need to think creatively about how we support patients wherever they are in the country to access the latest treatment options, and that may be, you know, providing support for transportation and housing, collaborative care networks between local providers, and providers at the referral centers to try to figure out how to meet patients needs.
