CHICAGO — Healio spoke with Karen L. Reckamp, MD, about research on perioperative lung cancer presented at ASCO .

“There are a lot of advances being made in the perioperative arena,” Reckamp, a professor in medicine and director of the division of medical oncology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, told Healio.

In addition to “practice-changing” research presented from the ADURA trial, she also discussed findings from the KEYNOTE-671 trial and the Neotorch study.

“This is an exciting time for the perioperative, potentially curable setting, really making a difference for patients with both immunotherapy and targeted therapy,” Reckamp said.
