Importance of HPV vaccination ‘impossible to overstate’
In the first installment of a four-video series timed to Cervical Cancer Awareness Month, Maurie Markman, MD, spoke with Healio about the importance of HPV vaccination.
Randomized trial data support the safety and efficacy of HPV vacation, according to Markman, president of medicine and science at Cancer Treatment Centers of America and a HemOnc Today Editorial Board member.
Appropriate HPV vaccination strategies could help eliminate cervical cancer worldwide, he added.
“It is really impossible for me to overstate the importance of HPV vaccination as a public health strategy,” Markman told Healio.
