Carrie A. Thompson, MD, MS, said as a member of Healio’s Women in Oncology Peer Perspective Board she looks forward to providing mentorship to women who are beginning their career, especially regarding how to balance work and life.
“I was excited to join the board of Women in Oncology because I have seen how valuable women in oncology groups can be, particularly to younger individuals,” Thompson said. “We started a women in lymphoma group about 18 months ago, and it has been phenomenal to watch women be able to network with each other in a comfortable atmosphere as well as be able to celebrate the successes of our peers and amplify those across social media and other opportunities.”
