In this video exclusive, Maria Fleseriu, MD, FACE, reviews the pituitary and adrenal research highlights presented at ECE 2023, the annual meeting of the European Society of Endocrinology, which took place in Istanbul, Turkey, in May.

Fleseriu is professor of medicine and neurological surgery and director of the Pituitary Center at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland. She is also an Healio | Endocrine Today Co-editor.

Among the hottest topics at the meeting, according to Fleseriu, was a debate over whether the disease name “diabetes insipidus” should be changed to “deficiency of AVP.” She reveals the consensus choice in this video along with other take-home messages from the meeting.
