In this video, Diana Isaacs, PharmD, BCPS, BC-ADM, CDE, speaks with Diabetes in Real Life columnist Susan Weiner, MS, RDN, CDN, CDCES, FADCES, about optimizing therapies and extending technology to people with diabetes.

Isaacs — who is a clinical pharmacy specialist and CGM program coordinator in the department of endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism at the Cleveland Clinic Diabetes Center — was named diabetes educator of the year by the Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists.

Isaacs describes advocating for people with diabetes to know their technology choices, extending telehealth, increasing virtual visits and connecting people with medication programs during the COVID-19 pandemic.
