LOS ANGELES — In this video exclusive, Jennifer Glueck, MD, an endocrinologist in private practice in Highland Park, Illinois, and assistant professor in reproductive and endocrine health at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, discusses hair loss in women and describes typical patterns in women. Although hair loss is often driven by an underlying medical condition, Glueck emphasized that cosmetic concerns should not be dismissed.

“Hair loss in general in women is a very devastating issue. Most women are very upset about it, and one of the most important things we can do for patients is to take this complaint seriously,” Glueck said.
