PHILADELPHIA — In this video exclusive, Javed Butler, MD, MPH, MBA, FACC, FAHA, the Patrick A. Lehan Professor and chairman of the department of medicine at University of Mississippi, emphasizes the importance of heart failure prevention in patients with diabetes.

“We have really good therapies to prevent heart failure in patients who are at high risk, and we should probably think about heart prevention in patients with diabetes more,” he said here.
