In this video exclusive, Jonathan D. Leffert, MD, managing partner of North Texas Endocrine Center and president of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, discusses some of the 2017 transitions and highlights at AACE, which included the installation of a new CEO, a new executive leadership team and the organization’s response to three devastating hurricanes that affected members and patients in Florida, Texas, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.

“We had the ability to work together with the American Diabetes Association, Insulin for Life and other organizations to bring insulin to these members, who were desperate need of insulin for their patients,” Leffert said.

Leffert said AACE’s annual meeting, taking place May 16-20 in Boston, will feature a mix of unique sessions, cutting-edge technology and interesting plenaries, symposia and popular meet-the-experts sessions that members will not want to miss.
