WellDoc, a digital health technology company, has announced a commercial partnership with Samsung Electronics to combine their technologies, according to a press release.

The partnership aims to integrate WellDoc’s consumer diabetes health app BlueStar C with Samsung Health and the company’s fitness tracking watches and gear.

BlueStar C offers individuals with diabetes an app to track their disease management, including blood glucose reading, food, medications, exercise and sleep. The app also offers educational resources for individuals with diabetes to help improve daily choices.

“Samsung is both an investor in — and an ideal partner for — WellDoc, so it is incredibly rewarding for us to take our collaboration to the next level,” Kevin McRaith, CEO of WellDoc, said in the release. “Through this commercial agreement, Samsung becomes a distribution channel for WellDoc, and Samsung Health serves as a platform for BlueStar C.”
