VIDEO: Testosterone Trials results announcement met with anticipation

BOSTON — In this video exclusive, Tamara Wexler, MD, PhD, director of the pituitary center at New York University Langone, give her perspective on the presentation involving results from the Testosterone Trials.
According to Wexler, the results were highly anticipated because of the design of the trial.
“Much of the previous information [on testosterone replacement] we had was from observational studies or with a less carefully controlled randomized population,” Wexler said. “It is important to note that the results of this study, as with any study, should be considered in the context of the particular cohort being studied.”
Results of the study were published last month in The New England Journal of Medicine.
