White matter microstructure altered in PCOS

In adults with polycystic ovary syndrome, white matter microstructure is altered and cognitive performance is compromised, according to study findings published in The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism.

New insight on “cocktail effect” of endocrine disruptors

In an article published in Nature Communications, researchers identified a molecular mechanism that could contribute to the “cocktail effect” of endocrine disruptors.

Women with PCOS do not, in fact, have ovarian cysts, and the name has shifted emphasis from other issues associated with the condition, including hypertension, diabetes, weight concerns and high cholesterol, according to Dokras. Watch video.
