Diabetic Supply of Suncoast Inc. announced a voluntary recall of all BMB-BA006A Advocate Redi-Code+ glucose test strip lots manufactured by BroadMaster Bio-Tech Corp., which are used in meters manufactured by TaiDoc.

The strips are being recalled to prevent confusion over which meter models are compatible with the strips. The test strips were not labeled properly and should have been printed with the model number BMB-BA006A, according to a press release from the FDA.

The voluntary recall is in effect for all wholesale distributors, pharmacies, medical suppliers, health care providers and consumers throughout the United States and Virgin Islands.

Consumers who possess recalled blood glucose test strips can contact Diabetic Supply of Suncoast Inc. directly for information; those strips will be replaced with properly labeled strips. Consumers should stop using the affected strips at once.

The press release said consumers may contact Diabetic Supply of Suncoast at 561-296-0488 or go to www.dsosi.com.
