FDA, Kwikpoint provide safe sharps learning guides

The FDA announced this week a new collaboration with Kwikpoint under a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement, to develop education tools on the safe disposal of sharps and other needles, according to a press release.

The free, publicly available visual learning guides will be designed to improve literacy among patients and caregivers through images, graphics, and minimal text, according to the press release.

The FDA has already provided quick-guides, labels and posters that use imagery to educate patients on how to properly dispose of their sharps or needles on their website.
