BOSTON — In this Healio video exclusive, Erin D. Michos, MD, MHS, FAHA, FACC, FASE, FASPC, discusses her presentation at the Cardiometabolic Health Congress,Primary Prevention of CVD: The Sooner the Better?”

“I would urge the audience to not ignore CV risk in young adults and to measure lipoprotein(a) in all adults at least once in a lifetime. It'll also identify younger adults who may have higher lifetime risk,” Michos said. “Think about treating sooner and not wait until someone is already at very high 10-year risk or already has established plaque or atherosclerotic CVD.”
