BlendTech Inc. has issued a voluntary recall of one lot of Uncle Buck’s Fish Batter Mix – Original due to the presence of an undeclared milk ingredient, according to a press release from the FDA.

The manufacturer noted that individuals with an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk are at risk for serious or life-threatening adverse reactions if they consume these products.

The recalled batter mix product — distributed in Bass Pro Shops stores nationwide, as well as through mail order — is packaged in a 22 ounce, yellow plastic bottle with black cap, UPC 9222972528, and marked with lot #09241505 on the bottom of the bottle.

The recall was initiated following the manufacturer discovery that the product containing milk was being distributed in packaging that did not disclose the presence of milk.

Although no adverse events have been reported to date in connection with this recall, consumers who have purchased the affected product are urged to discard it.

Consumers with questions regarding the recall or who wish to procure a replacement can contact the manufacturer at (844) 265-7354 or (316) 941-9660.
