Propeller Health names new senior vice president

Propeller Health, a digital health provider for patients with respiratory diseases, has named Brad Towle as senior vice president, business and client development, according to a press release.

“Brad’s broad experience in health care, and specifically his past role in the development of accountable care organizations [ACOs], brings valuable insight to the company at this pivotal time in the industry,” David Van Sickle, chief executive officer of Propeller Health, said in the release.

Towle’s responsibilities will include sales growth, customer acquisition and program expansion, according to the release. He previously had served as market president for Aetna’s ACO division, working on reform strategies with large health systems.

“In my work with ACOs and population health management for Medicare and Medicaid, I developed a strong understanding of the key drivers for health systems and payers, and how they can work together to improve outcomes,” Towle said in the release. “I’m excited to join Propeller Health, which sits at that unique intersection, bringing together mobile health, patient-generated data and accountable care.”

Propeller Health, based in Madison, Wis., provides digital therapeutic solutions to aid patients and physicians in better understanding and controlling asthma, COPD and other respiratory disease. It combines sensors, mobile apps and predictive analytics that monitor and engage patients, increase adherence and promote self-management.
