SAN FRANCISCO — An interactive session at the American Psychiatric Association annual meeting highlighted personality disorders as a significant category of psychiatric illness.

“Personality disorders are a robust facet of patient presentations that we all encounter in our work in psychiatry,” Lois W. Choi-Kain, MD, MEd, director of the Gunderson Personality Disorders Institute at McLean Hospital in Belmont, Massachusetts, and associate professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, said in this Healio video. “With this special opportunity to publish a special issue, we were able to communicate all of our newest ideas, research findings and treatment developments in this special session at the APA in San Francisco.”
