In this video, Pamela Wall, PhD, PMHNP, FAANP, clinical associate professor at the University of New Hampshire Department of Nursing, discussed a presentation she gave at the American Psychiatric Nurses Association Annual Conference.

Wall presented on the gender differences in the diagnoses of ADHD, specifically the presentation of ADHD in women, which shows a significant disparity in the cultural views and implicit bias towards ADHD.

“I felt that it was really important to introduce those concepts on those platforms so we could be more aware... identifying ADHD in both males and females is really important to decrease disparities later in life,” Wall said.
