VIDEO: Multidisciplinary approach needed to prevent violence like Texas school shooting

NEW ORLEANS – Psychiatrists who identify a patient at risk for committing violence should work with other subject matter professionals to determine the protective factors that can help reduce that person’s risk, Jack S. Rozel, MD, MSL, said.

Rozel, immediate past president of the American Association of Emergency Psychiatry, spoke with Healio here at the American Psychiatric Association meeting the day after the school shooting in Uvalde, Texas.
