Together Senior Health, a digital therapeutics and cognitive health firm, has announced the launch of its cognitive health platform, which it hopes will reduce the impact of memory loss in those with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.

According to WHO, memory loss, Alzheimer’s disease and dementia affect more than 50 million individuals globally, with roughly 10 million new cases each year. It is estimated 12% to 18% of people aged 60 years and older live with mild cognitive impairment.

Through the launch of its new evidence-based platform, Together Senior Health said in a press release that it aims to enable Medicare plans to provide more supportive cognitive care to their members, while building upon existing services to expand on current treatment plans.

“Together Senior Health is addressing the cognitive health of individuals living with dementia, Alzheimer's or memory loss in a holistic way. We know that this impacts millions of individuals and families around the world, and our goal is to help them stay healthy and independent longer,” Together Senior Health CEO Cynthia Benjamin said in the release.

The new platform will improve cognitive health through movement, body awareness, community, emotional well-being and a sense of purpose. A signature feature, Moving Together, will combine the best clinical, evidence-based movement therapy to help those with cognitive decline remain independent.

“Our integrated, human-centric platform takes an innovative approach, applying neuroscience, nonpharmaceutical therapeutics and behavioral psychology to strengthen cognitive health,” Benjamin said.
