National Council announces new regional directors

The National Council for Behavioral Health recently announced the election of four new regional directors.

“The board members are the organization’s boots on the ground,” Susan Blue, MSW, chair of the board of directors at the National Council for Behavioral Health, said in a press release. “Their knowledge moves the organization forward in the field. I look forward to improving the future of behavioral health care with this inspiring group of leaders.”

The new regional directors include:

  • Linda McKinnon, MA , president and CEO of the Central Behavioral Health Network, Inc., Tampa, Florida, in Region 4;
  • Patricia Coleman, BA , president and CEO of Behavioral Health Response, Inc., St. Louis, in Region 7;
  • Vitka Eisen , MSW, EdD , CEO of HealthRight 360, San Francisco, in Region 9; and
  • David Johnson, EdD , LMHC , CEO of Navos Mental Health Solutions, Seattle, in Region 10.

McKinnon has served as Florida licensed mental health counselor and marriage and family therapist at all levels of care for substance abuse and mental health.

Coleman serves as chair of the Workforce Investment Board in St. Louis, board member of Mental Health America of Eastern Missouri and as an executive committee board member of the St. Louis Regional Chamber.

Eisen serves on the board of directors of the San Francisco Community Clinic Consortium, the California Council of Community Behavioral Health Agencies, the California Association of Alcohol and Drug Program Executives and Treatment Communities of America.

Johnson has served as board member and chair of the Washington Council for Behavioral Health and was previously a school counselor and child and family therapist.

The new board term began on July 1, 2016.
