In her new role, Haseltine will join SAMHSA’s leaders in overseeing leadership, management and operations of the organization’s $3.6 billion budget and portfolio of grants and contracts to states, tribes, territories, communities and nonprofit organizations.
Haseltine has previous experience in overseeing federal government operations, according to the release.
In 2007, she joined the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Financial Resources at HHS and currently serves as the deputy assistant secretary for the HHS’s Office of Grants and Acquisition Policy and Accountability.
In her current position at HHS, Haseltine leads the development and oversight of policies and procedures for grants and acquisition, the implementation of HHS’s DATA Act and serves as its chief DATA Act officer. These roles have allowed Haseltine to foster utilization and partnership with the small business community.
In addition to her experience with grant policy, Haseltine’s role as the managing partner for Grants.gov and HHS’s Tracking Accountability in Government Grants system has given her unique opportunities to evaluate the integration of grants policy, business processes and data standardization.
