Infectious Diseases In Children Symposium to highlight advances in research, patient care

The Infectious Diseases in Children and Healio.com/Pediatrics team will present live coverage from the annual Infectious Diseases in Children Symposium, starting November 21.

The conference will highlight new research and advances in pediatric infectious diseases, including discussions on confronting personal belief exemptions to vaccination, current global status of measles and rubella eradication, issues in pediatric dermatology, updates to the 2016 Red Book, appropriate diagnosis and management of HPV infections among adolescents, the challenge of infection control in daycare centers and school settings and cost/effectiveness of treatments for head lice.

Kimberlin, MD, the Sergio Stagno Endowed Chair in Pediatric Infectious Diseases, and co-director of the division of pediatric infectious diseases at the University of Alabama at Birmingham said. “This symposium has been a valuable educational resource to pediatric physicians and nurses for nearly 30 years.”

In this year’s agenda, attendees will review the latest information on the diagnosis, management and treatment of pediatric infectious diseases presented by a panel of 19 leading experts who will illustrate what implications these updates have for the future. Attendees will also receive:
