I often enjoy talking to my fellow colleagues about interesting pediatric infectious diseases cases. Some things you just can’t talk about at home, unless the person you live with is a health care worker too.

Other times we discuss aspects of our profession, and try to pass to each other those pieces of data we pick up during our reading, journal clubs, conferences, etc.

As I transition from fellowship to an academic faculty position, things such as promotions, institutions, grant writing, licensure, fringe, certification, etc, become routine. Many of you went, are going or will go through all these stressors. So if you feel there is something to say, don’t hesitate to post a comment at the bottom of this blog! We can all be enriched from your experience.

This blog will be a venue for these and many more things. I hope you stop by every few days to see what is happening!
