The AIDS Healthcare Foundation has announced the grand opening of the newest Magic Johnson Healthcare Center in San Francisco.

The new center will be the AIDS Healthcare Foundation’s first “all-in-one” site – and the first facility of its kind in the nation. In addition to clinic, the new site will offer free rapid oral HIV testing and will include a healthcare center, a pharmacy and a thrift store.

The newest facility is the fifth clinic named in partnership with and in honor of Magic Johnson. The previous site of the Magic Johnson clinic in San Francisco opened in 2002 and offered a healthcare center and pharmacy in addition to testing services.

The full-service pharmacy at the new location is open to the general public and not just patients with HIV. The pharmacy is designed to be “a friendly, personal and not-for-profit alternative to the retail pharmacies,” according to information from officials at the AIDS Healthcare Foundation.

For every dollar earned by the pharmacy and the thrift store, 96 cents are contributed to HIV/AIDS treatment, prevention and advocacy programs conducted by the AIDS Healthcare Foundation.
