NEW YORK — Virtual Vision Health has added pupillography, color vision testing and live eye streaming to its Virtual Eye Pro, a company executive told Healio at Vision Expo East.

The Virtual Eye Pro is a portable, cloud-based virtual reality headset designed to conduct standard automated perimetry, Bill Shields, global vice president of sales at Virtual Vision Health, said.

Three new features have been added: “No. 1, pupillography, which measures the constriction of the pupil when diagnosing various eye diseases. No. 2, we’re partnering with Waggoner Diagnostics to put extended color vision in our headset. No. 3, live eye streaming, which will allow the technician to monitor the patient’s eye during the visual field test,” Shields said.

He noted that Virtual Vision Health is “working on a number of new modalities to further enhance the versatility of the technology.”
