NEW YORK – Low level light therapy, or photobiomodulation, applied to the eyelids and surrounding tissue effectively decreases inflammation and increases blood flow, Samantha Hornberger, OD, said at Vision Expo East.
Candidates include patients with meibomian gland dysfunction, blepharitis, chalazia or hordeola, she said.
