ABB Optical distributes performance contact lens
ABB Optical announced it will distribute Performance Vision Technologies’ tinted single-use soft contact lens, Altius.
Performance Vision Technologies Inc. (PVTI) designed the lenses to eliminate distractions while elevating details to enhance performance for athletes and recreationists, maximizing comfort, clarity and quickness under a wide range of conditions, ABB Optical said in a press release.
“ABB is thrilled to be able to provide our customers this unique opportunity to differentiate their practice and serve their patients,” Aaron See, senior vice president of manufacturer partnerships for ABB Optical Group, said in the release.
The lenses are designed for all patients, with or without a need for vision correction, and are available in two tints. The amber lens is engineered for sports in a wide range of outdoor light conditions. The grey-green is designed for water and land activities in varying light conditions.
“This lens is the result of decades of research to develop ‘game-changing’ optical solutions to address a wide range of lighting conditions in sports, recreation, education or work,” Alan W. Reichow, OD, MEd, FAAO, founder, president and CEO of PVTI, said in the release.
