TJ Nutrition has released a supplement designed to increase tear production and control inflammation in dry eye disease, according to a press release.

“Parasym Plus Eyes supports systemic and ocular health neurologically and simultaneously, by boosting both lacrimal and vagus nerve function,” the release said.

The supplement differentiates itself from prescription eye drop or nasal spray treatments by using a two-capsule per day oral dosing regimen.

“Aging, nerve damage and inflammation all negatively affect the release of acetylcholine and ultimately result in dry eyes as well as systemic symptoms such as brain fog and sluggish digestion,” Diana Driscoll, OD, inventor of Parasym Plus Eyes and owner and founder of TJ Nutrition, said in the release. “Parasym Plus Eyes is patented to work around all of these issues by directly affecting the receptors — it does not depend upon functioning nerves.”
