Luneau Technology introduced the Visionix VX650, an automated multimodal device for quick, comprehensive visual and ocular exams.

“The clinical value of the VX650 puts comprehensive anterior and posterior segment data at your fingertips,” Melissa Renfrow, a Luneau Technology clinical application specialist, said in a press release from the company. “Our product engineers found a way to incorporate seven devices into one instrument to give you unmatched clinical versatility and all the screening data you need for an effective patient consultation.”

According to the release, the VX650 is the only device on the market with both anterior and posterior eye segment scanning abilities in a single tool.

The device uses a 45-degree fundus camera and topography, wavefront aberrometry, tomography and retinal screening to efficiently evaluate for early signs of cataract, glaucoma and retinal and corneal pathologies.

The company said in the release that the device is easy to operate – “with the push of a button” – and its collected data “can be made available for HIPAA-compliant data sharing onsite and remotely.”
