Browser database provides medication information for any eye care drug

EyeMedsNow is a new browser database that allows eye care professionals and their staff to quickly access concise medication information for any eye care drug.
EyeMedsNow was built by optometry, ophthalmology and pharmacy experts and allows for medications to be filtered by condition, classification or key word, facilitating informed decision making at the point of care, the company stated in a press release.
“Since EyeMedsNow is available through any internet browser on any connected device, it can be simultaneously viewed with prescribing systems to give clarity on the right medication for the condition being treated,” the company said in the release.
Search results provide critical information regarding specific drugs such as local pricing, container sizes, warnings and precautions, and route of administration, all of which is given to the professional as a “drug card.” EyeMedsNow also includes a dosing calculator that determines the recommended drug dosage based on patient weight and medication strength and, according to the release, “complements existing electronic health record technology and its integrated e-prescribing system.”
EyeMedsNow is free to all registered users, the company said in the release.
