VIDEO: Latest trends in presbyopia care range from lenses to drops
DENVER – Walt Whitley, OD, MBA, FAAO, presented an overview at this year’s Optometry’s Meeting on the current trends in presbyopia management, including available and upcoming technology and therapeutics.
“When we look at presbyopia itself, just within the U.S., over 100 million people are suffering from presbyopia, and globally it’s about 1.8 billion,” Whitley said. “Loss of near vision ranks as number one when it comes to the impact that it has on quality of life, higher than hearing, high blood pressure or high cholesterol.”
