Alcon introduced Precision1 for Astigmatism, the company’s first daily disposable silicone hydrogel toric lens in the U.S.

Precision1 uses the Water Gradient Technology from Dailies Total1 and features the precision balance 8-4 lens design, creating a stable lens-wearing experience, the company said in the press release.

“Many of my patients want long-lasting comfort from their daily disposable contact lens, and that’s led me to wholeheartedly prescribe Precision1,” Aaron Luekenga, OD, Heritage Valley Eye Care, Calif., said in the release. “Now with Precision 1 for Astigmatism, I can offer my astigmatic patients a stable, next-generation lens-wearing experience.”

According to the press release, Precision1 lenses, which can be offered at a mainstream price, provide a significant opportunity to attract new contact lens wearers and reduce lens dropouts.

Precision1 and Precision1 for Astigmatism are available in eye care practices throughout the U.S. and online, the company stated in the release.
