Bruder develops kit for ocular surgery prep

Bruder, in association with leading ophthalmic surgeons and comanaging optometrists, announced the release of the Bruder Sx Pre-surgical Patient Prep Kit in a press release.
“Ocular surgery results are dependent on preoperative care. This is why it’s important that patients do their part to stabilize the ocular surface and keep lids healthy and clean,” Cynthia Matossian, MD, FACS, medical advisory board director at Bruder, said in the release. “While the need is great, collecting multiple hygiene products online or at a pharmacy can be overwhelming and impractical for many patients preparing to undergo cataract or other corneal procedures.”
The Bruder Sx Pre-surgical Patient Prep Kit presents patients with the necessary preoperative hygiene products to achieve optimal surgical outcomes; these products include hygienic eyelid cleansing wipes, hygienic eyelid solution and the Bruder Sx presurgical compress housed in a Bruder Sx case.
“As doctors, we know how important it is to prevent endophthalmitis and optimize the tear film to achieve the best possible surgical and refractive outcomes,” Matossian concluded in the release. “Being able to hand patients this complete, easy-to-use kit makes it convenient for patients to do their part to get ready for their surgery.”
