CooperVision expands business with GP Specialists

CooperVision expanded its efforts in addressing myopia through the acquisition of C&E GP Specialists Inc., the company announced in a press release.

“We’ve been focused for many years on addressing myopia, and we take great pride in the signicant number of design options we oer ... I’m pleased this eort will continue as we become part of CooperVision, which is a clear leader in the market,” Steve Wagner, former president of GP Specialists, said in the release.

Earning a reputation for customized orthokeratology contact lens designs like the iSee, OK-GOV and OrthoTool, GP Specialists will continue to serve as a key distributor of Paragon CRT lenses.

“This acquisition further improves our ability to meet eye care professionals’ needs and ultimately the quality of vision and life for their patients,” CooperVision President Juan Carlos Aragón, OD, said in the release. “Adding the tremendous experience of GP Specialists builds upon what we have created with the acquisitions of Blanchard, Paragon, Procornea and Soex in recent years.”
