Bausch + Lomb announced the launch of its expanded toric parameters for Biotrue OneDay for Astigmatism contact lenses.

This expansion will provide 60% more parameters, according to a press release from the company.

“Our full family of Biotrue OneDay lenses, including Biotrue OneDay for Astigmatism, provides eye care professionals with the lens that has the most moisture of any daily disposable lens on the market. Now, with this parameter expansion, eye care professionals can also fit more of their astigmatic patients than ever before” John Ferris, general manager, U.S. Vision Care, Bausch + Lomb, stated in the release. “We are dedicated to building upon and enhancing our portfolio so that eye care professionals have the tools they need to address the unique vision needs of more of their patients.”

Formulated with a patented dehydration barrier, Biotrue OneDay for Astigmatism features a peri-ballast design with tapered edges to limit lid interaction and spherical aberration control to help reduce halos and glare. These expanded lenses will provide patients with a comfortable daily disposable that does not sacrifice their quality of vision, the company said in the release.
