Konan Medical releases automated pupillograph in US
Konan Medical announced the U.S. release of EyeKinetix, an automated objective pupillograph.
EyeKinetix features an automated test to assess relative afferent pupillary defects in less than 1 minute, the company said in a press release.
This second-generation pupillograph is small, fast, easy to use and affordable, Konan said. It can measure pupil sizes in high light and low light, which may help clinicians when planning for multifocal IOLs, contact lenses and refractive surgery.
EyeKinetix features the RAPDx objective, automated test to assess relative afferent pupillary defect, Konan said.
“There has been considerable effort placed in enhanced value, precision and lower price points but with clear pathways to add in software-driven features for the product,” Charles Wm. Stewart, OD, CEO of Konan Medical USA, said in the release.
